Hey Flock!
I thought I would bring you up to speed on just 3 of many big projects going on at The Nest. I hear myself saying over and over again, “maybe by next week some things will be completed”, but I’m not sure that’s the nature of this beast! 🙂 We climb over one hill just to find 3 more but I know we are all more than willing to continue on the journey.
1. Cass Bank has been more than gracious with us and has agreed to enter into a lending relationship with us. We should be able to close within 6 weeks and finally get moving on preparing The Nest! A VERY fluid timeline might look like: starting work on the outside of the house in April, moving into the house in July, and becoming operational by October. We continue to perfect the policies and procedures, our licensing application, acquiring needed funds and in kind donations, as well as beginning to look to staffing.
2. Planning for the Shower of Love on April 25th and the RUSH 5K on May 4th is coming along swimmingly. We will need volunteers for both events to be pulled off smoothly. 3. The Board of Directors will have our annual retreat this weekend at Sunrise Methodist Church in O’Fallon. We’ll be participating in prayer, team building, fundraising training, and continuing to complete our strategic plan. Your encouragement is so important to the board.
